Celtic travel specialist Brendan Vacations will introduce small-group tours next year.

The tour operator said that it designed the small-group tours, capped at 18 to 24 guests, due to a growing demand for more intimate travel experiences. Small-group tours have been a trend, and the operator said it will allow travelers to better experience the destination.

Four itineraries will be operated as part of this new collection — three in Ireland and one in Scotland.

“Timeless Ireland & Ashford Castle” will take travelers on a nine-day trip through 11 Irish cities and towns, including Dublin, Cork and Killarney. Itinerary highlights include visiting the Guinness Storehouse, a private tour of Blarney Castle and a seaweed-foresting excursion at the Ring of Kerry.

The small-group itinerary starts at $7,675 per person. In comparison, Brendan Vacations’ 10-day Best of Ireland guided tour starts at $3,075.

The nine-day Scotland small-group tour, “Wild Scotland and Isle of Skye,” will bring travelers to Edinburgh, the Highlands, the Isle of Skye and Glasgow. Guests will visit Holyrood Palace, the Scottish residence of the king; embark on a Highlands safari for an off-roading adventure in search of wildlife; and take the Jacobite Steam Train.
